10th Best Real Estate Market Finds A Home In FL, WalletHub Says
Multiple FL cities rank in the top 100 for best real estate markets in the U.S., including one town known for its welcoming ambience.
FLORIDA — The Sunshine State has one of the top 10 real estate markets in the U.S., according to a recent ranking.
When it comes to being among the best of the best in real estate, personal-finance agency WalletHub says Port St. Lucie ranks 10th.
Experts examined 17 factors, including housing-market attractiveness and economic strength, when determining placement among 300 cities. Data analyzed median home-price appreciation, housing affordability and job growth.

“Current home prices are extremely important, but there’s much more that you need to look at when determining the health of a city’s real estate market," WalletHub analyst Cassandra Happe said in a news release.
"Factors like the cost of living, the potential for the value of homes to increase, the availability of recently-built homes and the quality of the city’s job market are all important to consider in conjunction with asking prices and interest rates. The best cities may not always be the cheapest, but they offer excellent housing options and long-term stability.”

Port St. Lucie scored 67.01 overall, ranking 18th for real estate market and fourth for affordability and economic environment.
The South Florida town was accompanied by other Florida cities on the list, with multiple ranking in the top 100. See how they fared below:

According to Zillow, the average home in Florida costed $399,130 as of July 31, a 1.8 percent uptick since 2023.
In Port St. Lucie, homes costed $401,544, seeing a 2.7 percent rise in price. The market saw 482 new listings and a median sales price of $431,633, Zillow reported.
WalletHub also ranked Port St. Lucie as the sixth best midsize city. Tampa was the seventh best large city in the U.S.
McKinney, Texas topped all other cities on WalletHub's best real estate market list, ranking first overall with a total score of 74.09. McKinney is first for real estate market and third for affordability and economic environment.
