2 Charged In Liberty City Murders

The April 8 murders sparked community outrage over gun violence.

MIAMI, FL — Two men have been arrested in connection with the murders of 18-year-old Rickey Dixon and 17-year-old Kimson Green in the Liberty City section of the city. Anthony Clinch and Yaairnes Rashad Bryant were each charged with two counts of first-degree murder on Saturday. The April 8 murders sparked community outrage over gun violence.

Green was an honor student at Miami Northwestern Sr. High School and Dixon was a former student at the school. The two were among four people gunned down in a hail of gunfire. Two others were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.

The shootings sparked outrage in the community and led fellow Miami Northwestern students to take to the streets to protest the gun violence that has plagued their community.
