1. New surveillance video has been released of a deadly shooting after an argument escalated at a Publix Supermarket in Coral Gables. The family of the victim has created a GoFundMe for those who wish to donate. Attorney Justin Shapiro is suing Publix and the jailed accused killer and is representing the late 49-year-old Franklyn Jose Pineyro. (WSVN)

2. The Miami-Dade Police Department said Thursday it has initiated a criminal investigation involving a police officer in coordination with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. A senior law enforcement source told CBS4 News that the investigation began several weeks ago when the Miami-Dade Police Cyber Crimes Unit received information that there was an active child pornography website and that someone locally was downloading images from that site. 3. Coral Gables commissioners agreed last week not to place on the November general election ballot a $60 million bond referendum that would have financed construction improvements for the War Memorial Youth Center and Phillips Park. Several raised objections to raising taxes and proposed seeking alternative financing sources. (Miami Today)

4. Two more Black football coaches have joined the racial discrimination lawsuit filed against the NFL by former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores in February. The NFL said the claims are "without merit," and said it would defend itself against the lawsuit. (Miami Patch)

5. Demolition is underway at the site where the 29-story Uni apartment tower is planned, according to photos by Ryan RC Rea and The Next Miami. The tower is planned to top off at 360 feet. First Florida is listed as the construction contractor. (The Next Miami)

  • On Wednesday morning, at 11:12 a.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to a First Alarm house fire near NW 101 Street and NW 6 Avenue. The first arriving units found heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home, with a boat and shed fully engulfed in flames. Power lines had been exposed when the fire spread and caught on fire as well. (Facebook)
