3 FL Zip Codes Among Most Expensive In The U.S.

Typical home values in 3 Florida communities were among the highest in the country last month, according to data from Zillow.

FLORIDA — Typical home values in three Florida communities were among the priciest in the country last month, according to data from real estate marketplace Zillow.

The typical home value varies from state to state and ZIP code to ZIP code, with monthly Zillow data showing which five-digit neighborhoods have the largest price tags. Using this data, Patch looked at the top 150 most expensive ZIP codes in the country and found which Florida communities are on the list.

The most expensive ZIP code in the country is 94027, in Atherton, Calif. This San Mateo County community had typical home values of $7,552,940 in June, Zillow data shows.

In the Sunshine State, the most expensive ZIP codes to live in are all on the water and had typical home values above $2 million and up to $4 million.

The Florida communities, their ZIP codes and typical home values at the end of June, according to Zillow, are:

  • Fisher Island, ZIP code 33109, with a typical home value in that area of $4,937,013, ranked No. 5 overall
  • Boca Grande, ZIP code 33921, with a typical home value of $2,863,824, and ranked No. 47 overall
  • Anna Maria, ZIP code 34216, with a typical home value of $2,253,732, and ranked No. 83 overall.

Single-family homes in the state have an average value of $390,856, the real estate company said.

These numbers reflect a weighted average of all homes in the middle of the market for a particular area, and are calculated with the Zillow Home Value Index.
