31-Year-Old Cutler Bay Man Murdered In Ambush
A 31-year-old Cutler Bay man was murdered Tuesday night in an apparent ambush attack as the man entered his home.

CUTLER BAY, FL — A 31-year-old Cutler Bay man was murdered Tuesday night in an apparent ambush attack as the man entered his home.
Daniel Macko was pronounced dead on the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel in the 22200 block of SW 99 Avenue, according to Miami-Dade Detective Alvaro Zabaleta.
"The preliminary investigation revealed that several subjects waited outside of the residence until someone arrived," Zabaleta explained "Once the victim opened the front door, the subjects ambushed him, forced their way into the residence and subsequently shot him."

Zabaleta told Patch it is too early in the investigation to say whether Macko was targeted in the attack which occurred around 11:15 p.m.
Zabaleta said Macko's attackers took some undisclosed items from the home and fled in a black Dodge van which may have been used in a previous robbery.

"They forced their way in, shot him and took some items from the house," Zabaleta told WPLG-TV.
