1. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and County Commissioner Eileen Higgins have announced plans to expand Miami's Metromover to Miami Beach. The new connection will allow residents and visitors get from Miami International Airport to South Beach via rail. (WPLG Local 10)
2. A SWAT standoff happened Wednesday morning in Coconut Creek after a call about a domestic dispute. The suspect peacefully surrendered to authorities and was taken away by paramedics in a stretcher. (WSVN)
3. Chicago-based restaurant group Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants has opened Aba inside South Florida's Bal Harbour Shops. The concept is a popular Mediterranean restaurant and has locations in Austin and Chicago. The restaurant is headed up by Celebrity Chef CJ Jacobson and executive partner Marc Jacobs. (Eater Miami)
4. U.S. President Joe Biden hit Miami Gardens on Tuesday to rally with Florida Democrats ahead of the Nov. 8 general election. The event was held for U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Val Demings and Florida gubernatorial candidate Rep. Charlie Crist. Early voting is now underway throughout the state. (NBC Miami)
5. Police are searching for a person of interest captured on surveillance footage near the scene of a fatal shooting in Miami's Allapattah neighborhood on Friday evening. The shooting took place near Miami Fire Station 6 in the area of Northwest Seventh Avenue and 36th Street. The victim is a homeless man. (WPLG Local 10)
