1. Five current and former members of the Hammocks Home Owners Association Board (HOA) are facing charges related to the theft of funds from the association, according to Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle. The charges were announced at a press conference on Tuesday. (NBC Miami)

2. Broward Schools Superintendent Vickie Cartwright was fired on Monday night, in yet another change to the school board in South Florida since a grand jury investigation into the Parkland shooting. Critics have claimed the investigation was partisan and motivated by special interests. All the board members who voted to fire Cartwright were placed on the school board by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. (WSVN)

3. Harvest Drive is helping South Florida families in need this holiday season. The organization depends on generous local South Florida residents to help the lives of others including helping provide Thanksgiving meals for those who cannot afford it. (WPLG Local 10)

4. A man in the Florida Keys is facing charges for allegedly stealing 85 pounds of shrimp and other items from a storage facility, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. Police said security footage from the facility helped them identify the suspect in the incident. (Patch Miami)

5. A developer has proposed an apartment complex in Miami’s Allapattah that would rise 8 stories and include 289 residential units, 3,750 square feet of retail, and 368 parking spots. The developer said the project would "revitalize the existing underutilized land into a vibrant development." (The Next Miami)

  • Miami commissioners will decide on funding for the Miami trolly system on Thursday, Nov. 17. The changes could come with an increase to hourly service rates. (Miami Today)
