1. A female employee of a Burger King in northwest Miami-Dade County, at 4727 Northwest 167th Street, has been taken into custody after shooting at a customer in the parking lot on Thursday afternoon, according to CBS 4 Miami. A dispute between the worker and the customer started inside the fast-food restaurant just after 4 p.m. before moving outside the eatery and into the parking lot. (Miami Patch)

2. Two people were killed, two others were injured and a man was arrested afterward, police said. The people were shot inside a Broward County Transit bus in Fort Lauderdale. Police say the incident happened as the bus was heading westbound along the 1100 block of Broward Boulevard, at around 3:30 p.m., Thursday. The bus driver told police she headed to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, located along the 1300 block, after she heard gunfire inside the bus. (WSVN)

3. The Miami-Dade Youth Fair is providing new food options this year including deep-fried cheese flan bites made with powdered sugar and a drizzle of dulce de leche icing. Other notable options include gator mac and cheese and loaded fried pickle nachos from Chester's Gators and Taters, a Brazilian hot dog at Burger Bob's, and Fair Expo Grille's chili cheese corn dog. 4. A man has been charged after he reportedly made a false bomb threat at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. On Thursday, around 5 p.m., Alin Olteanu stated there was a bomb in his luggage, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office. (CBS Miami)

5. Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a speech this week in which he called out Russians who have homes in Miami and called them "traitors." Many of the Russians who have villas in Miami feel that it is "a sign of belonging to the superior caste," Putin said. A 2016 report claimed that there are as many as 400,000 Russian speakers in the Miami area, although most are not from Russia itself. (The Next Miami)

  • The 2022 Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show was a huge success by all measures after returning to the Miami Beach Convention Center and Downtown Miami for five days of boating and yachting fun in February 2022.
