1. Co-Work LatAm, a rental co-working space company which has 18 locations in Chile, its country of origin, five in Colombia, two in Uruguay, one in Mexico and now one in Brickell, is expecting to double its footprint in 2022 to 50 offices across the Americas, the company recently announced. An additional 50 locations over the next three years are expected, the company said, focusing on Tampa, Orlando, Houston and Atlanta. (Miami Today)
2. A South Florida man says he was the victim of a hate crime and was beaten up in front of his home because he is gay. The assault occurred last Sunday, around 8 a.m., outside of his condominium on A1A, near 27th Street in Fort Lauderdale. (WSVN)
3. A car crashed into a Sunrise canal late Tuesday night, leaving both the driver and the teen who jumped into the water to try to rescue him dead, authorities said. The incident happened at the Residence of Sawgrass Mills neighborhood, located off Northwest 12th Street and Silver Palm Boulevard, around 11 p.m. Tuesday. (NBC Miami)
4. Five people have been arrested in connection with a haul of narcotics near a school in Kendall. Miami-Dade PD confiscated the drugs on April 15, after setting up surveillance in a parking lot at 9360 SW 72 Street, right across the street from the charter school, True North Classical Academy. 5. A Palm Beach County Chihuahua has set a new record as the world's oldest living dog. TobyKeith was born January 9, 2001 and verified as being 21 years and 66 days old on March 16, according to Guinness World Records. (Miami Patch)
