Cell Phone video posted to social media on Friday captures the moment two Carnival cruise ships collided in Mexico.

COZUMEL, MEXICO — Cell phone video posted to social media Friday captures the moment two Carnival cruise ships collided in Mexico.
"Carnival Glory just crashed into Carnival Legend and almost crashed into Oasis of the Seas at the Cozumel cruise port," Matthew Bruin wrote in a tweet Friday.
Carnival Cruise Line said the Carnival Glory ship was maneuvering when it “made contact” with the Carnival Legend on Friday morning. The cell phone video shows the noisy, slow-moving collision that left part of the Glory mangled at the stern.

The cruise line said it was assessing the damage but that the seaworthiness of the ships was not affected. A guest suffered a minor injury in the evacuation of a dining room.

The collision sparked a number of humorous comments on social media:
- "New Carnival game: Bumper Boats," wrote one person.
- "That’s the thing with boat brakes," replied retired nurse Valerie B Reynolds.
- "That's where yachts come from," said Kitt Lieder.
- "I taught my wife how to helm a boat better in minutes," said Klaatu.
"I took her out of the harbor. She saw another boat coming and got nervous. She said 'what do I do?" I said 'miss the other boat.' She did." - "At ocean liner driving school they're supposed to teach you to stay at least two ocean liners length behind the one in front," wrote SavageMotorSportz.
- "Student Captain on board," said another woman.
- "That'll buff right out," observed Andy Hapka.
- One person snapped a photo of a plaque from the wall of a close friend that read: "A collision at sea can ruin your entire day."
