1. A plane in Fort Lauderdale arriving Wednesday from Providenciales International Airport that was carrying more than a dozen passengers went off the runway into grass after landing nose down. The FAA is investigating the incident. No one was reported injured in the incident. (WSVN)

2. The Chief Executive Officer of Coral Gables Hospital has been killed in a murder-suicide, according to Miami-Dade Police. Police said she was shot and killed just before noon on Wednesday by her husband Antonio Mazzorana, 62, who took his own life afterward. (CBS Miami)

3. Santa’s Enchanted Forest is now open for its 39th year and has retruned with rides, games, food vendors, and more and spans 40 acres. The new location offers more parking for visitors at the corner of 87th Avenue and 74th Street. (NBC Miami)

4. Zoo Miami is mourning the death of "iconic" 56-year-old Asian elephant "Dalip" on Thursday afternoon after a series of health problems, according to officials. Dalip celebrated his 50th birthday in 2016. (WPLG Local 10)

5. A Chinese man from Oklahoma arrested in Miami told a judge in a Miami-Dade County court that he feared the members of an organized crime organization back in Oklahoma. Crime rings in Oklahoma have reportedly managed to get state marijuana licenses and the man says he was fleeing the mafia after multiple Chinese people who worked at the farms were shot dead allegedly by the gangsters.
