- A dead body has been discovered inside a concrete cylinder block at a Miami construction site. The cause of death has yet to determined and is under investigation. Police have yet to release information on the identity of the victim either. (WFLA)
- The developers behind The Elser Hotel & Residences in South Florida claim they have made $80 million dollars in closed sales in less than 60 days, a remarkable achievement as Miami continues to draw investors to its real estate market fleeing from foreign governments. Latin American buyers make up 75 percent of sales and hail from Colombia, Mexico, and Chile, according to The Next Miami. (The Next Miami)
- A Miami Police Sergeant is speaking out on the radio after saying she was forced to retire. Her message to the police was sharp saying, "You guys think you are doing an amazing job, but in reality, you guys have destroyed this police department and the morale." Police said they "are currently reviewing the incident, therefore no further comment will be made at this time."(WSVN)
- A South Florida delivery driver was convicted by a jury earlier this week of beating an elderly old woman to death and setting a fire at her home. The accused man faces a mandatory life sentence at an upcoming April 5 hearing. (CBS Miami)
- Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) plans to host its 10th annual Art + Soul Celebration on Feb. 11. The event features cocktails, music, dancing, and more. The event will honor actor and activist Jesse Williams. (South Florida Times)
