DUI Sweeps Underway in Southwest Miami-Dade
Miami-Dade police will be looking for impaired drivers on Friday and Saturday.

MIAMI, FL — Rolling DUI sweeps were underway in southwest Miami-Dade this weekend as police plan to crack down on impaired drivers. Miami-Dade police planned to stop cars on Friday and Saturday night between 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. i
Detective Argemis Colome of the Miami-Dade Police Department said officers will focus on the area along 40 Street (Bird Road) between SW 67 Avenue and SW 117 Avenue and the area along U.S 1 between SW 72 Street and SW 144 Street.
The special enforcement will be conducted by the Miami-Dade Police Department's Motorcycle Unit under a Florida Department of Transportation grant initiative.
