1. The Miami Heat didn't play their best in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night, but still emerged victorious 106-92 in front of a sellout crowd of 19,620 at FTX Arena. (ESPN)
2. A custom truck worth $175,000 was taken right out of a condo’s parking garage in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. An investigation is now underway. Those with information on the theft may be eligible for up to a $5,000 reward. (WSVN)
3. A man who flight attendants duct-taped to a seat onboard a Frontier Airlines flight into Miami from Philadelphia was sentenced Tuesday to 60 days in jail followed by one year of supervised release. Maxwell Berry must surrender by August 1, exactly one year after his arrest. (WPLG Local 10)
4. Nikki Fried, Florida's agriculture commissioner, held a Freedom to Choose rally in Miami Tuesday afternoon amid news that the U.S. Supreme Court is planning to overturn Roe v. Wade. "The news coming out of the Supreme Court last night is so disturbing and so dangerous. We can't sit on the sidelines," Fried said in a video she tweeted Tuesday morning, adding, "We will stand up for our rights to choose." (Miami Patch)
5. Biscayne Boulevard's new wall of glass at the 49-story Society Biscayne is nearing completion. Society Biscayne will include a 12-story First United Methodist Church at the base of the tower with its own separate entrance, directly behind the glass. (The Next Miami)
