1. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Caplin have donated $10 million to FIU and its Department of Journalism and Media. The school will establish the Lee Caplin School & Journalism & Media as a result. "In support of the dynamic leadership and vision of President Kenneth Jessell, I am delighted to invest in the evolution of this extraordinary university’s programs and the vibrant communities it serves so well," Lee Caplin said. 2. Miami Beach's iconic Lincoln Road held its annual tree-lighting ceremony on Friday with Santa Claus on-site to light the tree. Visitors also enjoyed a parade that ran from Euclid Oval to the Lincoln Road promenade. (WSVN)

3. Residents in Miami Beach are complaining about drunk party people on charter boats taking it too far when passing their homes and noted the problem has become worse as the pandemic eases. "Everyone is just drunk, high. Sometime we found carrying firearms. Food get thrown in the marina," said one resident. (NBC Miami)

4. Miami-Dade County is set to receive about $1.2 million from Walmart as the retail giant settles National Prescription Opiate Litigation and will also then distribute about $3.9 million more in regional fund monies. State of Florida and Walmart settled on Oct. 18 in the litigation. (Miami Today)

5. Florida East Coast Industries has completed the sale of two MiamiCentral Supertower sites to New York-based buyers for $50.8 million, according to The Next Miami. The supertower sites are part of Brightline’s MiamiCentral development. (The Next Miami)
