FL Cop Accused Of Grabbing Fellow Officer's Throat Charged
Christopher Pullease, 47, has been charged with battery on a fellow officer and evidence tampering, authorities said.
BROWARD COUNTY, FL — A south Florida sergeant recorded on video grabbing a fellow officer's throat is facing multiple criminal charges, Broward State Attorney Harold F. Pryor announced.
Christopher Pullease, 47, has been charged with one count of battery on a law enforcement officer, one count of tampering with evidence, assault on a law enforcement officer and assault on a civilian male.
Pullease is a sergeant with the Sunrise Police Department. ClickOrlando.com reported that the veteran officer was placed on desk duty shortly after the incident occurred.

The Nov. 19, 2021 incident occurred during the arrest of a man in Sunrise, the state attorney said.
Pryor said Pullease is accused of intentionally touching or striking the female police officer against her will, assaulting her by holding pepper spray up to her face, and assaulting a man by holding pepper spray to his face.

If convicted, the maximum possible penalties are five years in state prison for felony battery on a law enforcement officer, one year for assaulting a law enforcement officer, and 60 days for assault on a civilian.
Authorities said Pullease is also accused of tampering with evidence, his cellphone, in January of this year. If convicted, the maximum possible penalty is five years in state prison.
Prosecutors filed the four-count information, or charging document, on Wednesday following an investigation by Sunrise Police Department and Broward prosecutors.
