FL Scores Big In Lottery: Here Are This Week's $1M Winners

Here is where seven people won $1 million playing scratch-offs in the Florida Lottery.

FLORIDA — Residents in Orange and Lee counties were among multiple $1 million winners in the Florida Lottery this week, according to results.

Since Monday, lottery scratch-offs have proved to be lucrative for seven Florida residents.

All of the winners chose to receive their prizes as one-time, lump-sum payments of $640,000. Retailers received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning tickets.

Per lottery officials, aside from the Sarasota woman, other $1 million lottery winners were:

  • An Orlando woman won the Bonus Letter Crossword scratch-off game. The ticket was bought from RaceTrac, 745 Palm Bay Road NE in West Melbourne.
  • A 31-year-old Cape Coral man won the Loteria Grande scratch-off game. The ticket was purchased from 7-Eleven, 1021 Santa Barbara Blvd., in Cape Coral.
  • A 66-year-old Milton woman won the 500x the Cash scratch-off game. The ticket was bought from Circle K, 5819 Dogwood Drive in Milton.
  • A 34-year-old Deerfield Beach woman won the 50x the Cash scratch-off game. The ticket was purchased from Publix, 1140 SW 36th Ave. in Pompano Beach.
  • A 67-year-old North Port woman won the 500x the Cash scratch-off game. The ticket was bought from Circle K, 41 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte.
  • A 47-year-old Cooper City man won the $1 million a year for life spectacular scratch-off game. The ticket was bought from Stop N Go, 177 W. Commercial Blvd.
  • A 65-year-old St. Johns woman won the 500x the Cash scratch-off game. The ticket was purchased from Publix, 2845 County Road 210 W. in Jacksonville.

Ticket purchasers should sign their tickets as soon as they buy them, per lottery officials.

In Florida, the state lottery must withhold 24 percent federal taxes on prizes more than $5,000 for U.S. citizens with a social security number.

For U.S. citizens without a social security number, the state lottery must withhold 30 percent for taxes on prizes more than $600.
