FL Teacher Showed ‘Winnie The Pooh’ Horror Movie To Students
A fourth-grade math teacher in South Florida mistakenly showed "Winnie the Pooh, Blood and Honey," a bloody slasher flick, to students.

MIAMI SPRINGS, FL — A South Florida teacher is under fire for showing fourth-grade students part of “Winnie the Pooh, Honey and Blood,” a horror film, according to multiple reports.
In the slasher flick, Pooh and Piglet go on a murderous rampage after being abandoned by their best friend, Christopher Robin — now a young man — when he leaves for college. During their killing spree, they target a group of young women renting a cabin in Hundred Acre Woods.
A math teacher played 20 to 30 minutes of the movie for students at The Academy of Innovative Education, a K-12 charter school in Miami Springs, during an indoor recess on Oct. 2.

"He didn't stop the movie, even though there were kids saying, 'Hey, stop the movie, we don't want … this,’" Michelle Diaz, whose twins were in the class, told CBS News.
Another parent, Melissa Barreio, told WSVN, “I don’t know how that’s mistakenly shown, ’cause it’s not like — I mean, you have to choose what you’re putting on. Everything now is electric; it’s not like a VHS that could have been in the wrong cover.”

The academy’s head of schools, Vera Hirsh, told the Miami New Times that "as soon as the teacher realized what was being shown, the movie was turned off,” noting that most of the murder scenes are later in the film.
"The issue has been thoroughly addressed with teachers, students, and parents. Our students are in school and doing fine, and we really did address all of the concerns," she added.
The school brought in a mental health counselor to speak with students upset by the film.
