Florida High School Student Dies After Being Found On School Bus
A Florida high school student died Wednesday after being found unresponsive on a Broward County school bus.

HOLLYWOOD, FL — A Florida high school student died Wednesday after being found unresponsive on a Broward County school bus.
Officer Christian Lata of the Hollywood Police Department said the student attended McArthur High School.
Lata did not immediately identify the student, but said there was no evidence of a crime being committed. The student was discovered around 7:30 a.m.

"The School Resource Officer as well as paramedics quickly responded and administered CPR to the unresponsive student, who was then transported to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital," Lata explained. "Unfortunately, the student was later pronounced deceased by hospital staff."
He said police opened an investigation into the student's death.

"The Hollywood Police Department is awaiting results from the Medical Examiner’s Office," Lata added.
