- The remains of a Florida man who disappeared during Hurricane Ian have been discovered inside a submerged sailboat in Fort Meyers Beach, according to Lee County Sheriff's office. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family," said Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno. (Florida Patch)
- Streets in Miami were closed on Tuesday morning after a gas leak happened near Flagler Street, east of First Avenue. Reports suggest a construction worker accidentally hit the gas line and caused a rupture. No injuries were reported. (WSVN)
- An investigation is now underway after a fatal shooting on Sunday afternoon in Homestead. The incident happened at 3:48 p.m. in the 700 block of Southwest Sixth Street. The shooting left 3 people injured and one person dead. (WPLG Local 10)
- A former candidate for commissioner in Surfside was arrested and indicted for murder on Friday. Records show the indictment was issued Dec. 8, 2022 and sealed, according to NBC Miami. (NBC Miami)
- A Florida man, who was out on bond for allegedly abusing a baby, was arrested again last week after he tried to rob a Publix with a stapler, Miami-Dade police said. The incident happened at the Publix on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami. (WFLA)
