- A video has gone viral on social media of a man and a woman hand feeding gators what appears to be sandwiches in what appears to be South Florida's waters. It isn't clear where exactly the couple is, but the post is tagged #FloridaEverglades. "Florida man is gonna Florida man," the video caption of the post reads. (Miami Patch)
- Miami-Dade Police Department detained one person after a report of an armed person at Capital Plaza Medical Center at 10700 SW 88 St. in Southwest Miami-Dade on Tuesday. Police evacuated everyone in the building and then detained a man for questioning, but there is no evidence yet of the suspect being armed or dangerous. (WSVN)
- Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) has launched an investigation after a body was discovered inside a burning Mercedes-Benz SUV on Tuesday morning in Pompano Beach. The vehicle was found by first responders in flames at the 200 block of Northwest 32nd Court. Neighbors watched in dismay at the incident unfold. (WPLG Local 10, NBC Miami)
- The City of Miami Beach said they will be ready to enforce an emergency curfew in 2024 after city leaders voted to do so this week. The emergency curfew vote comes amid heightened tensions over violence and shootings during spring break this year. Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber has faced criticism from politicians around the state over the violence. (NBC Miami, Florida Politics)
- South Florida locals are feeling the impact of protests gripping Israel against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as he aims to change the judicial. Netanyahu was facing corruption charges as recently as 2022. One South Florida resident has been unsuccessful in traveling to the country to bury his wife, who recently died, amid the turmoil.
