  1. A 12-foot great white shark named "Scot" was tracked near the Florida Keys during spring break this week. "We met this mature, male shark in Nova Scotia in September 2021 and have been able to track him for over 10,000 miles since,” the organization posted on Facebook. Scot joins a number of other great white sharks recently tracked in the Gulf Coast of Florida. (Miami Patch)
  2. Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) has arrested a South Florida woman in what police said was an intentional hit-and-run. The incident happened near the 2600 block of Northwest 13th Court on Friday morning. Social media footage allegedly showed the victim hanging on to the hood of the other woman's car. (WSVN)
  3. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay stopped at Komodo in Brickell and Stubborn Seed in South Beach this week, according to Miami Herald. The chef posted, “Miami! I love you!" on his Instagram feed. The chef plans to bring his Lucky Cat and Hell's Kitchen concepts to the area in the near future. (Subscription: Miami Herald)
  4. A Florida man from Palm Bay is facing several charges after he allegedly drove nearly 100 mph in a 40-mph zone to get his girlfriend to a job interview at Taco Bell, according to authorities. He was charged with reckless driving and child neglect and taken to Brevard County Jail, according to police. (Miami Patch)
  5. Ultra Music Festival is now underway in Miami with more than 165,000 people expected to attend. Miami Music Week is also underway, and Miami Beach is expected to be packed with spring breakers partying all weekend. Drivers not attending are advised to avoid the area due to increased congestion.
