  1. Twelve more Florida Bed Bath & Beyond stores are now scheduled to close, including some in South Florida, according to an announcement. South Florida locations impacted include Hialeah and West Melbourne. The dates for the closings were not available. Layoffs are still underway across the company. (Florida Patch)
  2. Former Miami Dolphins lineman Vernon Carey has opened a new called Green Envy in Liberty City. The idea behind the concept is to provide healthy options for locals to enjoy at an affordable price. The new restaurant is located at 62nd Street in Liberty City. (WSVN)
  3. Norland elementary, middle, and high schools were all forced into lockdown Monday afternoon are gunshots were fired in the area. Officials said the altercation began at the school, but the gunshots were made outside the school on Monday afternoon. A victim was shot by the gunman in the leg and arm and taken to Aventura Hospital for treatment, according to sources. (CBS Miami)
  4. A South Florida man is accused of being a serial thief and is now facing over 100 charges for crimes at Miami International Airport. An arrest warrant said the man is facing 131 counts of burglary and five counts of grand theft in Miami-Dade County. Detectives said the man stole key fobs from rental car facilities at the airport. (NBC Miami)
  5. The FAA has approved the height of a development project proposed at 3333 Biscayne. The structure will now rise to 481 feet above ground. The Miami Urban Development Review board approved the development in November. (The Next Miami)
