- A family is seeking the help of the public after a South Florida couple was allegedly kidnapped while in Haiti on March 18, according to a Change.org petition. The couple was kidnapped in Port-au-Prince before they arrived at their planned destination to see family, according to multiple reports. (Miami Patch)
- 7 people were arrested and 12 people were hospitalized during the Ultra Music Festival in Miami so far as of Saturday afternoon. Charges included disorderly conduct, trespassing, possession of fraudulent credit cards, and disorderly intoxication, according to police. "People from over 100 different countries are coming into Miami to attend Ultra Music Festival," said Ray Martinez of Event Entertainment Group. (NBC Miami)
- Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that left one man dead in Hialeah Gardens on Friday evening, according to authorities. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident happened near the 10000 block of Northwest 138th Street. (WPLG Local 10)
- Miami City Commission is considering changes to the zoning code to establish regulations regarding co-living amid an affordable housing crisis in South Florida. The Biden administration has called Miami the "epicenter of the housing crisis." The government sees communal living as a potential solution to the problem. (Miami Today)
- A new Italian restaurant called Casadonna is coming soon to the historic Miami Woman’s Club, according to multiple news reports.
