Infant, 2 Others Rescued Near Soldier Key
An infant and two others were rescued off Soldier Key on Saturday morning.

KEY BISCAYNE, FL – An infant and two others were rescued off Soldier Key on Saturday morning. The three were aboard a 20 foot boat that began taking on water. The incident happened around 10:30 a.m.
The crew of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Fire Boat 73 boarded assisted the craft.
“They used a pump to remove most of the water,” according to a spokesperson for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. “They then followed the vessel back to the marina which was towed by Sea Tow to ensure they made it back safely.”

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue urged boaters to always have a safety plan, safety equipment and a working VHF marine radio before leaving shore.
