1. Miami Beach Pride is happening right now with events planned through today. Visitors can enjoy a free live music festival at Lummus Park all weekend and a Pride parade today. Tickets are available online for VIP access to the event. (WSVN)
2. Police are investigating a shooting after they received a shot spotter alert and found several people shot in Miami. According to detectives, four people were shot outside of a convenience store near Northwest 15th Avenue and 68th Terrace around 4:30 a.m., Saturday. (WSVN)
3. Instagram recently censored a Miami New Times Pride Week cover, leading to outcry from the LGBTQ community. Activists say it isn't a new issue with the popular social media platform and is made worse by the current "Don't Say Gay" bill controversy in the state. (Miami New Times)
4. Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins was struck and killed by a car in South Florida at age 24 on Saturday morning while walking on Interstate 595 near Davie, according to a report. Haskins was in Florida this week for offseason work with several other Steelers skill position players when the tragic incident happened. (Miami Patch, NBC Miami)
5. An interdisciplinary group of Florida International University and University at Albany researchers are teaming up to co-lead a new $1.5 million virtual institute that will help train the next generation of cybersecurity professionals for future military and civilian leadership positions. The Virtual Institute of Cyber Operation and Research (VICOR) aims to advance a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) VICEROY initiative to establish cyber institutes through higher education partners across the country.
