- City of Miami is proceeding with plans to build a new boat ramp at Miami Marine Stadium. The plan must still be approved by Miami's Historic and Environmental Preservation Board (HEPB). The ramp was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. (Miami Today)
- South Florida-based Carnival Cruise is warning spring breakers to not be unruly. The company said rude passengers who disrupt the enjoyment and safety of others will be hit with a $500 fine and be forced to leave the ship. Violators could be banned for life. (WSVN)
- Miami-Dade police shot and killed a suspect on Friday morning, according to authorities. Police said the suspect shot at SWAT before being shot and killed. No officers were injured in the shooting. (WPLG Local 10, NBC Miami)
- A South Florida man arrested and charged on Wednesday after allegedly leaving more than 30 mattresses and box springs on a Stock Island Street, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. The bedding weighed more than 1,700 pounds, according to police. (Miami Patch)
- City of Miami and a developer are planning to temporarily relocate Fire Station No. 4 within Southside Park to help speed up the development project at Brickell's 1 Southside Park. A vote is expected on March 9, according to The Next Miami. (The Next Miami)
