MIAMI, FL — Lady Gaga was forced to cut her final stop on the Chromatica Ball tour short Saturday night in Miami because of a lightning storm.

The tour supporting her sixth studio album, “Chromatica,” which came out in 2020, kicked off July 17 in Düsseldorf, Germany, stopping in 18 major U.S. and European cities, as well as Tokyo, before ending in Florida.

Following her Miami performance Saturday, the singer and actress shared a tearful, heartfelt video message with fans to her Instagram page about having to pull the plug on the concert. (Watch the full video below.)

“We really tried to finish the show tonight in Miami, but we couldn’t, because even when the rain sort of stopped, there was lightning that was striking right down to the ground so close to us,” she said. “And look, I know that for a really long time I’ve always wanted to be like that hardcore bad (expletive,) but what I really want is to also be responsible and loving and I don’t know what I would do if anything happened to anybody in the audience or to any member of my crew, my band my dancers. So, I’m sorry that we didn’t get to the epic performance of ‘Rain on Me’ in the rain, but what’s more important to me is life.”

“Rain on Me” is a track off her “Chromatica” album. Lady Gaga had just six songs left to her set list — which spanned her entire career — when she was forced to call it quits, according to People.

“I took so much in my heart to get back to a place where I could perform and be healthy and I hope you know part of why I decided not to finish the show was because I am healthy and it’s a healthy decision for all of you and for myself as well,” the performer said in her video. “I love you and yes, I’d rather be dry, but we’re all alive, so go home and be safe and I’ll see you the next time I’m on stage.”
