1. Lauderhill residents are concerned after surveillance video footage showed a well-dressed man armed with a machete and knocking on doors early Monday morning, according to a report by WSVN. The couple providing the footage to WSVN has asked to remain anonymous amid safety concerns. Residents are unsure why the man is performing these acts. (Miami Patch, WSVN)

2. A gun mix-up led a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBP) to accidentally shoot and kill fellow CBP Officer Jorge Arias at a west Miami-Dade gun range on Wednesday morning, according to a repoty by WPLG. The accident took place during a training exercise. (WPLG Local 10)

3. A $5,000 reward is now being offered to anyone with information to help find a man who police say allegedly tried to lure a young girl into his van near a Fort Lauderdale school earlier this week. The incident was reported to officials at Bennett Elementary School, located at 1755 Northeast 14th St. (NBC Miami)

4. A USDA inspection report was released on Friday alleging animal abuse at Miami Seaquarium. The report states dolphins were allegedly deprived of food in an effort to increase performance for guests and that in turn made dolphins more aggresive with trainers and the public. (WPLG Local 10)

5. A group of condo unit owners has blocked a half-a-billion-dollar deal for the purchase of Castle Beach Club condo in Miami Beach located at 5445 Collins Avenue.   • DASH-EXPO is coming to Miami's Design District on Nov. 3 at the historic Buick Building. The event will include young designers and artists including student work from all grade levels, as well as the 2022 Young Designers Scholarship Fund Exhibition. (Miami's Community News)
  • South Florida home sales collapsed over 25% in September, according to Florida Realtors. The fall in sales comes amid a rising interest rate. The price of homes also fell, but not by much from $600,000 to $570,000. (Subscription: South Florida Business Journal)
