Man Accused Of Luring Young Girls To BMW In Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, FL — A 25-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with three separate incidents of lewd behavior involving young girls and Hollywood police believe there may be additional victims.

Umer Tanguwalla was arrested on Friday and is charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition involving a child under 16.

"During September, November and December, there were three separate reported incidents of a subject in East Hollywood luring preteen girls to his vehicle by stopping to ask them questions," according to Officer Christian Lata of the Hollywood Police Department. "The girls observed the subject to be naked from the waist down and actively masturbating."

During two of the incidents, Tanguwalla was allegedly driving a 2018 white BMW M-Series, four-door sedan with lettering on the rear windshield, side windows and rear bumper. The vehicle had a European-style front personal license plate and a bike rack on the roof.

During the third incident, Tanguwalla was allegedly driving a white 2015 BMW X-Series SUV.

"The Hollywood Police Department believes there could be additional victims, and are requesting anyone who was approached by a white male driving a white BMW displaying a sex act is to contact the Hollywood Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division," Lata explained.
