VIDEO: Man Bitten By 'Large' Alligator In Florida
A man was seriously injured when he was bitten by a "large" alligator in Florida, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office.
CANAL POINT, FL — A man was seriously injured over the weekend when he was bitten by a "large" alligator at the Dupuis Management Southwest Corbett Wildlife Area in Florida.
"The Martin County Sheriff's Aviation Unit helped locate a man who was bitten by an alligator in the Dupuis Management/SW Corbett Wildlife Area, which sits along the Martin/Palm Beach county line, the Martin County Sheriff's Office reported Saturday night.
The Dupuis Management Southwest Corbett Wildlife Area is about 45 miles from West Palm Beach.

The sheriff's office released video of the man being airlifted to a hospital in Palm Beach County. The injured man was found in a heavy marsh area.

The man, who was not immediately identified, suffered a "substantial" leg injury from the approximately 10 foot gator, according to the sheriff's office.
The incident is under investigation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The Dupuis Management Southwest Corbett Wildlife Area is located at 23500 Southwest Kanner Highway, Canal Point.
