1. Miami Beach's popular Mango's Tropical Cafe is under criminal investigation by police after a customer claimed she was raped inside the restaurant by employees. The investigation is focused on around two employees from the bar and restaurant, according to WPLG. (WPLG Local 10)
2. Dr. José Luis Córica has been named the new dean of the School of Education at Broward International University (BIU). Córica hopes to lead BIU as one of the top online universities. He holds an International Doctorate in Education and a Master's in Teaching and Open and Distance Learning, as well as bachelor's degrees in Systems Analysis, Corporate Communication and Business Management. 3. A Miami real estate agent flying a paramotor on Sunday morning spotted a woman hanging on to her submerged car in a canal and made an emergency landing to help rescue her. 4. The Polish American Club is seeking approval to build an eight-story, mixed-use project on the club's former banquet hall site located on the Miami River at 1250 Northwest 22nd Ave. The Miami River Commission will vote next week on whether to approve the zoning changes, according to The Real Deal. 5. A fire broke out on Tuesday morning inside a warehouse in Pembroke Pines near 31st Avenue. It remains unclear what caused the fire to occur. Fire rescue said a truck went up in flames in the recycling center. (WSVN)
