1. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed the controversial Parental Rights in Education bill, commonly called the "Don't Say Gay" bill by critics, his office announced Monday. The legislation says classroom instruction on "sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade three or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students." Protests have been held for weeks against the bill in South Florida by local officials. (Miami Patch, NBC Miami)
2. Miami Beach's curfew that was instituted after several shootings in the city ended Monday morning after legal challenges from some business owners and some frustration from visitors. Business owners say they were negatively impacted by the curfew. (NBC Miami)
3. New video has been released after a brawl broke out at a South Florida Best Western Plus hotel on January 19. Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump posted the video on Twitter over the weekend showing a hotel employee there being attacked by a guest. (WSVN)
4. A midrise of residential units and ground floor commercial-retail is planned for a property west of Brickell and I-95 in the city of Miami. The project is named SW 3rd Ave-Residences, and is targeted for 1900 SW Third Ave. The city’s Urban Development Review Board recommended approval of the project on March 16. (Miami Today)
5. Turkish Airlines and Air France are doubling flights from Miami to Istanbul and Paris amid surging traffic at Miami International Airport. A new daily passenger record was broken by the airport on March 20 the airport said. (The Next Miami)
