1. Tourists were left disappointed and surprised on the first night of South Beach's midnight curfew. The curfew will be reinstated each night throughout the weekend. It was instituted after a string of shootings and unruly behavior during the festivities. (CBS Miami)

2. An Internal Affairs investigation is underway after video captured a rough arrest in SW Miami-Dade. The arrest took place outside United Beauty Supply, located along 224th Street of Southwest 112th Avenue, at around midnight, Friday. Officers could be seen throwing punches at the man as he laid on the ground, appearing to resist arrest. (WSVN)

3. A South Florida man was arrested after police say he was behind the wheel of a car that lost control and crashed into a gas station sign last month in Miami, killing three of his passengers. 26-year-old Erwin Rommel Recinos Zuniga of Miami-Dade, was arrested Thursday and faces a number of charges, including three counts of DUI manslaughter and three counts of reckless vehicular homicide, according to a police report. 4. As beachgoers head to Miami-Dade and Broward beaches during Spring Break, lifeguard stands across South Florida are flying purple flags to alert swimmers of the presence of the Portuguese man-of-war. The sea creatures are closely related to jellyfish, have tentacles that are barbed with a sting that can typically cause painful welts lasting for days and sometimes even lead to death. (CBS Miami)

5. In a last-minute reversal, the Miami City Commission voted to adopt the base map presented by De Grandy and Cody back in February, with one inclusion that returned Wharf Miami to Chairwoman Christine King's district, on a 3-2 vote. The historically Black West Grove will end up divided between districts two and four. (Miami Times)
