"While the fire is now under control, crews on scene are monitoring for any hot spots," according to a spokesperson for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

"As with heavy smoke conditions that occur due to these incidents, we do advise for those that live/work near the area that have respiratory conditions to limit their exposure to smoke especially if they are at increased risk for particle-related effects," the spokesperson added. "They should keep indoor air as clean as possible, keep their windows and doors closed and run the air-conditioner by recirculating the air inside until conditions improve."

The cause of the blaze was still under investigation as of Friday.
