1. Miami-Dade County School Board has selected a chair and a vice chair to lead the board in the upcoming year. School Board member Mari Tere Rojas has been selected as the new chair and carries more than 45 years of experience. (CBS Miami)

2. The DeMarco Real Estate Group in Hollywood hosted a Thanksgiving giveaway where they gave out more than 200 free meal kits to those in the community who need it most. The kits included a whole turkey, canned goods, a pie and a $50 Publix gift card. (WSVN)
3. U.S. Coast Guard officials said they rescued more than 100 people from a boat carrying Haitian migrants that hit a sandbar on Monday near the Florida Keys. Crews battled 25 mph winds and 6-10-foot seas to save people from the boat. (Miami Patch)
4. North Miami Beach Police launched an investigation Tuesday after a drive-by shooting at a North Miami Beach home, the second day in a row the home was hit with gunfire. Over 30 shots were fired into the home in the 15700 block of Northeast 15th Place, according to officials. No injuries were reported at the scene. (NBC Miami)
5. The penthouse at the 100-story Waldorf Astoria Residences Miami, currently under construction, has been sold. It's called "Mansion in the Sky" and will rise 1,050 feet in the air above Miami. It will feature 10 bedrooms, 11 and ½ baths, and ceiling heights as high as 25 feet. (The Next Miami)
