  1. Police have made an arrest over a deadly Wynwood shooting late last year. The incident happened on Oct. 11 at around 11 p.m. near the 300 block of NW 34th Street after Miami Police Department received a ShotSpotter alert for gunfire. The suspect has been charged with second degree murder with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon. (CBS Miami)
  2. A Miami man has been indicted for allegedly running a fraudulent cryptocurrency and stock investment scheme. He was charged with eight counts of wire fraud by a federal grand jury on Wednesday and arrested in Denver, Colorado. Authorities said the man used the funds for "luxury cars and gambling at the casino." (WSVN)
  3. Police are investigating reports of a possible shooting late Tuesday night near Steve’s Pizza on Biscayne Boulevard. Crime tape was seen near the scene. It is not clear at this time what led up to the alleged shooting or if anyone was injured. (WPLG Local 10)
  4. Florida International University (FIU) engineering students spent six weeks last summer in Japan through the International Research Experience (IRES) program. The program is funded through the National Science Foundation (NSF) grant. Students attended Kochi University of Technology in Japan and also took part in cultural courses. (Miami's Community News)
  5. City of Miami has pressed forward with a plan to create a fire station in a 64-story tower in Brickell. Miami commissioners approved an amendment to a public benefits agreement with the development group behind the One Southside Park development for Fire Station 4. (Miami Today)
