MIAMI, FL — Beer and sports have always gone together, but Derek Jeter's Miami Marlins are taking the relationship to the next level.

The team announced a new, five-year partnership Thursday with Biscayne Bay Brewing Co. that will bring a 3,000-square-foot brew hall to Marlins Park, team spokesman Jon Erik Alvarez told Patch.

More importantly, the relationship will give the team their own Miami Marlins signature beer that will be available at the Biscayne Bay Brew Hall as well as at retail locations inside Marlins Park and around South Florida.

“Baseball is the social sport, and the new Biscayne Bay Brew Hall is the next enhancement in our lineup of unique and impactful programming at the ballpark as our organization continues its commitment to invest in the fan experience,” Miami Marlins CRO Adam Jones said.

"We also love that this partnership enables our brand to be present throughout the market and in fans’ hands all around South Florida," Jones added.

Jose Mallea, president of Biscayne Bay Brewing Co., said the presence of a locally owned and independent craft brewery will enhance the fan experience at Marlins Park.

The 3,000-square-foot space will be located in the atrium area near Sections 15–16 on the Promenade Level of Marlins Park. It will feature a bar with a performance space and a large video wall. The venue will be open on game days but will also be available for private events.

"We could not be more excited about the future of the team,” Mallea said.
