Miami Woman Shot In Dispute With Family Member

A Miami woman was shot late Wednesday morning in what police are describing as a "domestic dispute" between blood relatives.

MIAMI, FL — A Miami woman was shot Wednesday morning in what police are describing as a "domestic dispute" between blood relatives. The incident occurred at NW 14 Ave and 69 Street, according to Miami police. The family members were close in age.

"A woman and man were arguing," Officer Michael Vega of the Miami Police Department told Patch. "Somehow during the argument she was shot in the chest."

Vega said that police were still attempting to locate the man who was involved in the shooting.

"We're looking for him to get his side of the story," Vega added.

Police said that the woman was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where she was listed in stable condition.

Miami police did not immediately identify the woman or the man involved in the incident.
