Miami's 4th Of July Fireworks 2020 Canceled
The Miami area's traditional Fourth of July events have been canceled this year, but there are several other ways you can celebrate.
MIAMI, FL — Some of the Miami area's traditional Fourth of July events have been canceled this year thanks to the coronavirus, but there are other ways to enjoy the holiday.
The cities of Miami Beach and Coral Gables told Patch earlier they canceled their annual holiday events, while the city of Miami announced Monday that it too was pulling the plug on its fireworks display at Bayfront Park "to ensure the safety and health of our residents during the COVID-19 pandemic."
Miami Gardens, which is home to Hard Rock Stadium, is taking advantage of the stadium's huge parking lot to host a "Drive-In Fireworks Fourth of July Celebration" unlike any other.

Officials said the gates open at 7:45 p.m. with fireworks set to begin at 8:45 p.m. Attendees should use lots five, six, 17 and 18. The stadium is located at 347 Don Shula Drive. Attendees must remain in their cars during the event.
The city of Hialeah is telling its residents to tune into Mega TV or one of the city's social media accounts at 9 p.m. July 4 for a video fireworks display sponsored by Cano Health.

You can also visit Ocean Drive Association's Facebook page to watch last year's Fourth of July performance from the Miami Classical Music Festival. The MCMF Orchestra performs the 1812 Overture and Salute to the Armed Forces along in addition to the Ocean Drive Firework Show.
Meanwhile, nearby Fort Lauderdale plans to hold four small fireworks displays around the city but officials said they will not allow spectators at those locations — Holiday Park, U.S. 1 and Sunrise Boulevard (18-minute show); City Hall, Andrews Avenue and NE 1 Street (18-minute show); Carter Park, Sunrise Boulevard and NW 16 Avenue (18-minute show); and the Beach Community Center, A1A and Oakland Park Boulevard (10-minute close proximity show).
People are encouraged to watch the fireworks from home if they live close by. They can also watch on Comcast Channel 78, AT&T U-verse Channel 99, via YouTube or on Fort Lauderdale TV. Radio station 101.5 LITE FM will be playing patriotic music during the shows.
If you don't mind driving to Orlando, you can enjoy three nights of of fireworks at SeaWorld with the park's “Light Up the Sky” show on, July 3, July 4 and July 5. The event is included in the price of admission. Click here for more information.
