1. Miami Beach police officers were forced to shut down Ocean Drive at one point Friday night as spring breakers swarmed South Beach. Thousands of people showed up ready to party and celebrate the occasion in South Beach. Few incidents were reported compared to previous years. (WPLG Local 10)
2. Police are investigating an early morning incident Saturday in Miami in which a driver for the ride-sharing service Lyft was assaulted by three passengers. Miami Police said the incident took place near the intersection of Northwest 27th Avenue and 35th Street, finding the driver with blood on his face and hand from the attack. (NBC Miami)
3. Coyo Taco, which opened its flagship location Wynwood back in 2015, has opened a new location in Fort Lauderdale. It also opened in Paris, France during the pandemic. The chain focuses on fresh and made-from-scratch Mexican food. (CBS Miami)
4. A man was taken to the hospital after a Brightline train crashed into his pickup truck in Hallandale Beach, as he was trying to cross the track illegally on Friday afternoon. Dashcam video provided by Brightline captured the moment the driver of the silver pickup drove around the gate arm and onto the track a split second before impact, just after 5:30 p.m. No one on board was hurt. 5. Baptist Health South Florida announced on Friday that Patricia Rosello has been named to the newly created role of Chief Patient Experience Officer for the organization. She will "focus on maintaining an aligned, meaningful, high-quality patient experience across the health system." Baptist Health South Florida is the largest healthcare organization in the region, with 12 hospitals, more than 24,000 employees, 4,000 physicians and 100 outpatient centers, urgent care facilities and physician practices spanning across Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
