1. In Florida, 4 new billionaires joined the Forbes World's Billionaires List from a year ago. 27-year-old Ryan Breslow of Miami, an e-commerce software businessman, is new to the list with a net worth of $2 billion. Also joining the elite in South Florida is Paul Saville of Palm Beach, who leads Virginia-based NVR, one of the largest home builders in the country, worth $1.6 billion. There are a total of 77 billionaires living in Florida on the list. (Miami Patch)

2. An investigation is underway after a fire that broke out in a Miami apartment building led to Miami Fire Rescue and police discovering illegal drugs inside a unit at 79th Street and Northeast Bayshore Court at around 8 p.m. on Monday. No injuries were reported. (WSVN)

3. A student was detained after a weapon was confiscated at a school in Oakland Park Tuesday, authorities said. Broward Sheriff's Office officials confirmed a student was detained at Sunfire High School on West Oakland Park Boulevard. The student is cooperating with the investigation, according to police. 4. Oolite Arts has announced plans to build a new Miami headquarters at 75 NW 72nd Street. The new facility will have an energy-conscious design, including skylights, solar chimneys, wind catchers (for passive cooling), vegetation for cooling, and rainwater tanks, all designed for LEED certification. 5. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava declared a housing crisis on Friday, setting the stage for the county to distribute $41 million in federal funds as rental assistance. Miami rents climbed 38% in 2021, the highest gain nationwide, according to a Zumper report. (The Real Deal Miami)
