1. Patio Bar & Pizza is a new indoor and outdoor concept now open in the up-and-coming MASS District in Fort Lauderdale's Flagler Village at 901 Progresso Drive. It is the third concept from partners Brian Parenteau and Doug Herbst. Other concepts include DrYnk Bar & Lounge in Wilton Manors and Tulio’s Tacos & Tequila Bar. (Miami Patch)

2. Miami Commissioner Manolo Reyes on Tuesday delivered 500 food bags to seniors at the Smathers Plaza housing complex so those in need can have a good Thanksgiving holiday dinner. A thousand more bags are expected to be delivered before Thanksgiving for elderly, low-income people and in some schools to students. (WSVN)

3. Authorities are preparing to spray Hollywood and Pembroke Pines with bug poison over complaints of a swelling mosquito population. Tonight from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Broward County Mosquito Control will spray larvicide. Controlling mosquitoes is important for battling Zika virus, yellow fever, dengue and chikungunya. 4. American Airlines plans to hire more than 700 new employees in Miami. The airline has hired more than 2,000 members in Miami since 2022, including 400 members in reservations. The airline services operate up to 335 daily flights to more than 140 destinations. (WSVN)

5. John Martin's, one of the longest-running restaurant and bars in South Florida, has reopened its doors with new ownership after closing in the middle of the pandemic. The concept is now being run by Emi Guerra and Alex Mantecon of Breakwater Hospitality Group. (Eater Miami)
