Patio Bar & Pizza Now Open In MASS District's Flagler Village

The pizza concept is New York meets craft cocktails and hand-crafted artisan style pizza.

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL - Patio Bar & Pizza is a new indoor and outdoor concept now open in the up-and-coming MASS District in Fort Lauderdale's Flagler Village at 901 Progresso Drive. The concept is New York vibes meets craft cocktails and hand-crafted artisan style pizza.

It is the third concept from Brian Parenteau and Doug Herbst, two South Florida hospitality veterans, who also founded DrYnk Bar & Lounge in Wilton Manors and Tulio’s Tacos & Tequila Bar.

The new venue is at the old Progresso Plaza, a 100-year-old landmark, also known to locals as the "Laser Wolf Building." The outdoor patio is 2,500 square foot and features another bar, fire pit and lounge like seating.

All pizzas are made-to-order and hand-crafted on site from non-bromated, unbleached natural flour, whole and skim milk mozzarella cheese from Wisconsin and organic tomato sauce from California tomatoes and then baked in an authentic brick oven. Vegan and gluten-free options are available as well.

Menu options include 14-inch pies such as a Signature Cheese and Margarita, Artichoke, Soppressata & Peppers, and Spicy Hawaiian. Salad options include Kale Caesar and Heirloom Tomato and Mozzarella. Dessert includes fresh mini cannoli's as well as Tiramisu.

Cocktails are themed and include "Filthy Flamingo," "Death by Coconut" and "South of the Border." The drinks are made with fresh squeezed juices and local fresh produce from Jack Scalisi Fruit and Produce. Craft beer options include Funky Buddha, Hop Gun, Cigar City Jai Alai, Wynwood Brewing La Rubia and Holy Passakos Blonde Ale. Red and white wine is also available.

The women’s restroom features a portrait of a woman created by well-known muralist and body painter Avi Ram, while the main dining room wall features a graffiti style mural by an artist known as Mitrooper1.

Patio Bar & Pizza is Tuesday On Friday’s and Saturday's, Patio Bar & Pizza is Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday from 5 p.m. to midnight and Friay from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. On Saturdays they are open from noon to 2 a.m. and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.

Happy Hour is from Tuesday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Breakfast pizzas are available on weekends from noon to 4 p.m. and bucket specials are available on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

High-energy local DJs are featured on weekend nights spinning open format style ranging from top 40's and house to hip hop and reggaetón.
