Person Of Interest Sought In Upscale Condo Murder
In releasing a photo of the person of interest, police said that the tip could pay up to $3,000 through Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.

MIAMI, FL — Miami police are asking for the public's help in identifying a person of interest in last month's murder inside an upscale high-rise condominium building. A 28-year-old man has already been arrested in the case. John Stanton was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 34-year-old Marley Jackson.
In releasing a photo of the person of interest on Thursday, police said that the tip could pay up to $3,000 through Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
"The city of Miami Police Department is attempting to identify the above pictured subject," according to Miami police. The person of interest had a tattoo on his right bicep and a birthmark or injury to his left forearm.

When Miami police arrived at Jackson's apartment they found the door ajar and Jackson suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The incident occurred at the Blue Condominium, which is located at 601 NE 36 Street.
"A witness stated they heard a brief struggle followed by a gunshot coming from the victim's apartment," according to court documents. The incident occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. on July 20. Jackson was pronounced dead on the scene by Miami FIre Rescue personnel.

Officer Michael Vega of the Miami Police Department previously said that Miami police took up positions around the condominium building following the shooting to make sure that the shooter was not still inside the 35-story glass structure.
Jackson did not provide a statement to police at the time of his arrest, acccording to court documents.
