Police Need Help Solving Hit-And-Run Death

Police have released a surveillance image of a car that is believed to have been involved in the hit-and-run death of a 61-year-old woman.

MIAMI, FL — Miami-Dade police have released a surveillance image of a car that is believed to have been involved in the hit-and-run death off a 61-year-old woman. Lisa Ann Taipale, who was also known as Lisa Ruiz, was killed on June 8 around 11:35 p.m. in northwest Miami-Dade. She was struck in the 9400 block of NW 7 Avenue.

Detective Lee Cowart of the Miami-Dade Police Department told Patch that officers from the Traffic Homicide Unit will be canvassing the area and handing out flyers at 4 p.m. Thursday to help find the driver of the car that struck the woman. The officers will be at 95 Street and NW 7 Avenue.
