1. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Commissioner Eileen Higgins announced a new Plastic Free 305 program which will provide local businesses with tools to reduce their reliance on single-use plastics. It aims to give all residents of Miami-Dade County the opportunity to make a difference against plastic pollution in Biscayne Bay, the ocean, and other waterways. (NBC Miami)

2. Police have given the all clear at a cargo building near Miami International Airport after workers found what they thought were two grenades in a piece of luggage, leading officers to evacuate the area. The incident happened along Northwest 22nd Street in West Miami-Dade, at around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday. (WSVN)

3. Plantation police said a man was found dead at a La Quinta Inn Saturday, as they investigated a possible meth lab at the location. Authorities said they received a call at around 11 a.m. about an unresponsive adult male at the hotel located in the 8100 block of Peters Road. (CBS Miami)

4. A New Jersey-based development company with more than 3,000 rental apartments in three states is planning to construct a midrise mixed-use residential project in the Wynwood Arts District. The plan for their development was considered earlier this month by the Wynwood Development Review Committee, which approved the project with several conditions. (Miami Today)

5. Mike Tyson made it to some of the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference festivities at the Fountainbleau Miami on Collins Avenue this week despite an incident on a flight from San Francisco. Business partner and wrestling legend Ric Flair tweeted a photo of them Thursday night at the hotel’s nightclub at the CCC’s afterparty. (WPLG Local 10)
