Miami Construction Worker Dies After Electrocution
The incident happened at NE 1 Avenue and 30 Street. First responders reported the incident shortly after noon.

MIAMI, FL — A construction work was killed Tuesday after being electrocuted, according to Miami Fire Rescue. The incident happened at NE 1 Avenue and 30 Street shortly after noon.
"It appears a construction worker was electrocuted while on a service elevator," Captain Ignatius Carroll of Miami Fire Rescue explained.
He said that the injured construction worker was taken to Ryder Trauma Center of Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

"According to the construction site foreman, the patient was on the 24th floor working on the interior elevator electrical system," Carroll said. "A fellow coworker noticed something was wrong and ran to his aid."
Carroll said that the victim collapsed to the ground and was not breathing.

"Fellow coworkers initiated CPR and brought him to the first floor to wait for paramedics," he explained. "Paramedics continued life-saving efforts and transported the construction worker to Ryder Trauma Center where he was pronounced deceased a short time later."
Carroll added that the building foreman shut down operations for the day.
