  1. A 4-month-old boy and his great-grandmother died after an apartment came ablaze in southwest Miami-Dade on early Saturday morning. The incident happened at around 3:30 a.m. near the 101500 block of West Circle Plaza in West Perrine. The cause of the fire is under investigation. (WPLG Local 10)
  2. A yoga student at a free class in Legion Park was performing the "corpse pose" when he was injured by a falling iguana earlier this month, the Miami New Times reported. "I didn't see it coming. It felt like a sandbag hit me in the face," the victim told the news outlet. (Miami Patch)
  3. The inflation rate in South Florida between December 2021 and December 2022 was 9.9 percent, which is the highest inflation rate in the nation. The numbers were compiled Consumer Price Index released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics recently. Rapidly rising housing costs helped drive the surge. (The Next Miami)
  4. Regal Cinemas announced Friday that South Beach Stadium 18 and IMAX on Miami Beach is closing down. Shadowood 16 in Boca Raton will also be closing. The closures comes after its parent company, Cineworld, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in September 2022. (WPLG Local 10)
  5. A Miami woman is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed firearm, after police said she pointed a gun at another driver on the MacArthur Causeway. Records show she was booked into the Miami-Dade jail, where she was being held on a $10,000 bond. (NBC Miami)
