Second Miami-Dade Student Tests Positive For Coronavirus: Report
The Miami Herald reports a student at Charles D. Wyche Elementary has tested positive for the virus.
MIAMI, FL — Miami-Dade County Public Schools on announced Thursday that a student at William H. Lehman Elementary in Kendall had tested for the coronavirus.
Only hours later, the Miami Herald, citing two reputable sources, broke the news that another student had tested positive for the virus. The second student reportedly attends Charles D. Wyche Elementary in Miami Gardens.
The school district's COVID-19 dashboard reflects the positive case at Lehman Elementary. It does not yet show any positive cases for Wyche Elementary.

William Lehman Elementary was sanitized Thursday morning and students and parents were notified about the positive test result. It's unclear what steps have been taken to prevent at Wyche Elementary.
The district did not immediately respond to a request for more information.

In a release Thursday morning, Lehman Elementary urged anyone feeling unwell to stay home and reminded parents to complete the at-home health checklist with their children each morning.
